Data
I am currently carrying out fieldwork in Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, and Zambia. Part of my research involved collecting various financial documents in each country. These are ostensibly public documents, but they are typically not easy to find and copy. I am currently organizing and publishing this information online.
A few words on the documents are required. I typically did not copy entire documents, but rather chapters that were adressed to my specific research interests. This will make the documents less useful to others, but I still believe that it is worth the effort of putting this stuff online. The image quality may not be great and the file sizes can be unwieldy, but everything should be legible. I believe that you should not have to travel to Kenya to read the Central Bank’s annual report from 1988, for example. Finally, if you hold the copyright to any of these documents and would like them removed, please email me and I will take them down.
