About me

I am a PhD candidate in international relations, with a specialization in international development, at the School of International Service at American University in Washington, DC. I am also a Cosmos Club Young Scholar. I completed my undergrad at the University of Ottawa in the international development and globalization program.

My current research interests are in foreign aid and governance. My dissertation focuses on the influence of aid volatility on presidential election outcomes in Africa.

Miscellany

My webpage’s header image comes from a map that I found in volume two of Malawi’s development programme plan, 1981/82–1985/86. I came across it in Malawi’s Ministry of Finance library and was captivated by the beautiful maps. The map is rotated 90º, but you can still make out Lake Malawi.

On Jun 19, 2009 I started using Amazon Affiliate links on books and media that I really like. I am hoping that this can help me buy more books that I really like. It also introduces a conflict of interest, so I felt that I should disclose it publicly.

I also post photos I shot and music I am enjoying online. You can also see my faculty profile at American University.
